Truth is a double edge sword. We must, first above all, strive to know the truth about all things; even if it means giving up dogmas we hold most dear; even if it means losing friends and family members. We must always put ourselves on the receiving end of a conversation, to listen closely to the expressions of those who have set themselves against us; listening without interruption, to the voice of the enemy. In this way the weakness of his understanding will be revealed. We then address the weakness with reason, logic and truth. As we press on to a more accurate understanding of reality, our ability to recognize error will mature. Our ability to reason with our adversary will trap him in his error. Trapping them in error is the only peaceful way to deal with the enemy. When the enemy becomes trapped, his lie is revealed to all. We must frame our arguments in such a way that there is no way out. We can only do this if we know the truth about the issue we are arguing about, and how to present it in such a way that they have to answer.
If the governments of this nation are existing on lies and contrivances, is it not reasonable to conclude that exposure of these lies with the truth is our best offensive weapon? The truth is substantive law. The laws of physics are studied by scientists. The laws of society must be our study. Not politics. Not religion. For is not society the reason for having government? Destroy the government and society remains. Who would not argue that government is necessary to perpetuate an ordered society? Even in chaos it has been shown that there is government. Therefore to discover what is necessary truth with respect to government, we must study society.
A deputy district attorney recently tried to convince me of the necessity of the police powers the other day when he presented to me the circumstance of a woman who had just been put away for her fourth DUI. He tried to convince me that the law was necessary to protect her and the public and asked me what we would do without that protection. My response to him was that by putting her away he was nether addressing her problem nor protecting society. I told him the question should be why don’t we address the reason she was drinking so heavily in the first place? Are we less concerned that the inside of the cup is dirty than the outside? If we address the internal problem will not the need for external punishment decrease. If we help people to govern themselves inwardly, where is the need for external punishment?
Our society is moving away from the principles of liberty because those principles are simply not taught. Those principles are not taught in the churches, at school or at home. Everyone is simply convinced that the external order of government is a necessary evil and so surrenders to that notion. I am convinced that Christianity herself is the instrument perpetuating this evil; she who teaches that men ought to be subject to artificial contrivances of men rather than the principles of rightness commits adultery against the truth in so doing.
I have had, and continue to have, the personal experience of being set free from fear as I come into a better understanding of truth and reality. Ergo, I believe that proportionate to the understanding of truth we hold, we are set free from fear. If we rid ourselves of fear by the embodiment of truth, we then will stand with courage when confronting a lie. We must therefore stand on solid principles. The truth provides us with that singular unshakable foundation. Men who stand on truth stand in conviction; those who do not rest on the principles of truth will waiver. Our enemy is full of lies and deception. His house is divided; it will not stand. When confronted with the truth they will waiver and ultimately fall. We can do this without firing a shot. Some of us standing in the truth will die. We must continue to stand. We will ultimately break their will to govern on the basis of lies as their source of power. The only reason they stand now is that they have never been any men courageous enough to confront the liars with the truth.
So you ask how do we fight? We fight by standing up for what we know is right and true and just. We get our personal act together. We dispose of the iniquity within us and exchange it for truth. We work on ourselves so that when our time comes to stand, we stand and do not fall.
We have an advantage going into this battle. The “system” recognizes and promotes evil and incompetence. For so long has the system been established in this way, the system itself is weak and miserable. We must have patience. We will learn the truth and how to apply it. We must stand in integrity and honor while confronting misery. We must throw off the chains that bind us to them and separate ourselves from their values and what they say is right and true. We must become mature men. We must set an example for other men to follow. Men follow courage, honor and truth. Those amongst our enemies that see the example we set will be convicted in the degree there is any thing decent in them. To the degree they are convicted by their conscious, they will walk away from their iniquity. There will be a domino effect. This house of cards will fall. Men must be willing to set aside self ambition to give strength to others when needed.
Thoreau once said that there are a thousand hacking at the branches for every one striking at the root. We must strike at the root to destroy the tree. Should we merely prune the tree, it grows back stronger. What is perceived to be a problem by one, is a symptom to another. As a flight engineer a pilot would say to me, we have a problem with fuel flow to the number three engine. I in turn would convey to the electrician that there is a problem in the wiring as evidenced by the symptom that there is a malfunction in the fuel gauge. The electrician splices a break in the wire and the symptom goes away. The problem is always something other than what we see on the surface. To understand the problem we must study the principles of the respective system. The mechanic was not called to splice the wire. A doctor would not be called to repair a TV. A lawyer is not called on to fix the problem, but rather to address the symptom. We must become conversant in how this governmental system is supposed to work before we can troubleshoot.
- 1. If I had a TV all of my life that only played sound, and in my whole life I never saw another TV with a picture, how would I know that a TV was supposed to have a picture? Most people believe the government is operating just fine. Our objective must be to learn how the thing is supposed to work. If we decide we like it, we must address the problem by splicing the wire. If we decide we do not like it, we will have to consider alternatives. Nature abhors a vacuum.
