OccupyTill I Come

A certain nobleman
went into a far country
to receive for himself a kingdom,
and to return.
And he called his ten servants,
gave them some money,
and commanded them saying,
"Occupy till I come."
But his citizens hated him,
and sent him a message, saying,
"We will not have you to reign over us."
And it came to pass when he returned,
having received the kingdom,
that he commanded his servants
to whom he had given the money,
to be called unto him,
that he might know how much
they had gained by trading.
The first came, saying,
"Lord, your money has increased tenfold."
And he said unto him,
"Well, thou good servant:
because you have been faithful in a very little,
I give you authority over ten cities."
And the second came, saying,
"Lord, your money
has increased fivefold."
And he said likewise to him,
"I give you authority over five cities."
And another came, saying,
"Lord, here is your money back,
which I kept for you,
laid up in a napkin:
because I feared you,
knowing you are an austere man:
taking up what you did not lay down,
and reaping what you did not sow."
And he saith unto him,
"Out of your own mouth
will I judge you,
you wicked servant.
You knew that I was an austere man,
taking up what I did not lay down,
and reaping what I did not sow?:
Why then did you not give my money
to the bank,
that at my coming
I might have required it back
with usury?"
And he said unto them that stood by,
"Take from him the money,
and give it to him
that increased his by tenfold."
"But Lord," they said,
"he already hath the tenfold increase."
"For I say unto you"
That unto every one who has
more shall be given;
and from him who has not,
even he has shall be taken away from him;
but those mine enemies,
which would not that I should reign over them,
bring here,
and slay them before me.’

Parable by Yahshua,
found at Luke 19:12-27
