Labyrinth of Lies

Commensurate to the degree

I believe a lie is true,

is the degree I will

miss the truth of the lie,

and live within

a powerful, delusional world

of which

I am the creator,

the foundation of which

is that lie.

How many lies have I added

to that initial lie

to support and defend

the validity I draped it within?

How trapped am I

within my own labyrinth of lies

based thereupon?

A prisoner within a world

from which there is no escape

without intervention

from outside

the paradigm

I accept

as real and true?
