I can’t do the political  

campaign game.

The maneuvering

the gesturing

the compromises

to understand the mold

of what is acceptable,

and what is unacceptable.

What is too much,

what is too little,

when is too long,

and when is long enough.

To cause people to like me.

to win their favor

to win their vote.

Will I say anything to win a vote?

Where is the line.

Will I do it just once?

Can I be bought?
