Transformation

What does the writer mean when he says,
“to be transformed
by the renewing of the mind”?

“Transformed”
is a translation of the Greek word
“Metamorphous.”

Only three other times
is this Greek word used
in the Bible,
twice, interpreted as
“transfigured,”
and once as “changed”:

Peter, James, and John
climbed a mountain with Yahshua
who was
transfigured before them:
and his face did shine as the sun,
and his raiment was white as the light.

Look very closely
and it will become obvious
that the gospel Yahshua revealed is about
physical “transformation,”
About life and immortality.

“… Jesus Christ,
who hath abolished death,
and hath brought
life and immortality
to light through the gospel”

The gospel is not about
dying and going to heaven.
Rather, it is about living,
in the present,
Here, now and always,
in the kingdom of Heaven.
This is the gospel He taught,
the message we must accept!

"I am the resurrection,
and the life:
he that believes in me,
though he were dead,
yet shall he live:
And whosoever lives

and believes in me
shall never die. . ."
John 11:26

“But if the Spirit of Him
that raised up Jesus
from the dead
dwell in you,
he that raised up Christ
from the dead
shall also
quicken your mortal bodies
by his Spirit
that dwells in you.”

Stop, be still,
be here now, in this instant!
Be totally present within this moment
and dwell on the awareness that
the Spirit who is the Creator
lives in you,
and that through this
common union,
this communion,
this intercourse,
your mind is being renewed,
and your body transformed!

"But we all,
with open face
beholding as in a glass
the glory of the Lord,
are changed (Metamorphous)
into the same image
from glory to glory,
even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

To be “transformed,”
is the metamorphosis
of the body.
It literally means to
change from
the physical state
into the spiritual state.
not unlike the transfiguration of Yahshua.
This can only be accomplished
“by the renewing of the mind.”

This understanding
is the "fountain of youth."
It is the Holy Grail
sought after by
King Arthur
and the knights
of the round table:
Eternal life,
the metaphor expressed
by the need to
drink from the cup
from which Christ drank
at his last supper.

The process of metamorphosis
has not been made more evident
than that expressed by the lyrics:
“Tadpoles and Butterflies,
have both been born again.”

Being metamorphosed
is the result
of “the renewing of the mind,”

If I think
my mind
has been renewed
merely because
I spoke
some magic words
at an alter call,
I had better think again.

It is all about
Love,
"Agapao,"
The perfect quality of
service to others,
the mental
manifestation
of the principles thereof,
translated through the flesh,
reflecting
the condition of the soul.

The transformation occurs when
we change our mind
from fear based
to love based,
to resonate
at the frequency
of Love,
the frequency of the Creator
our Father.

And as we have borne
the image of the earthy,
we shall also bear
the image of the heavenly.
Now this I say, brethren,
that flesh and blood
cannot inherit
the kingdom of God;
neither doth
corruption inherit incorruption.
Behold, I shew you a mystery;
We shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed,
In a moment,
in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump:
for the trumpet shall sound,
and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible,
and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible
must put on
incorruption,
and this mortal must put on
immortality.
So when this
corruptible
shall have put on
incorruption,
and this mortal
shall have put on immortality,
then shall be brought to pass
the saying that is written,
Death is swallowed up
in victory.
