“Each one sees what he wants to see
Each one sees the same thing differently.”
Origin unknown
When the Bible is read,
the context within which
and the person through whom
one chooses to perceive,
are crucial factors
in determining what one hears.
The projection of meaning
both onto the words,
both onto the words,
and historical circumstances,
are functions of the perceptions one holds,
and through which one chooses to believe,
what is true.
It is upon these determinations,
these choices,
that those who walk in darkness
unaware,
build and shape the prison
within which they are prepared for slaughter.
This is not the "rock"
upon which the Messiah
is building his Church,
the eternal body
the gates of hell
can not prevail against.
Our incessant failure
to deduce the truth
about the facts,
rather than accepting
as true
the story
we contrive about the facts,
is the
mental handicap
mental handicap
we suffer
for choosing to live life through the person
we pretend to be,
rather than incarnating who and what
we truly are.
Until we break out
of the mental prison of our own making,
this structure we have each
constructed and adopted,
under the deluded guise
of and for our own security,
the cocoon
that is harboring us,
opposing us, and restricting us,
we will continue to walk in our sleep,
oblivious to the reality
of where we are,
and of who and what we are,
within the spiritual dominion
all around us,
all through us,
all the time.
