The Busyness of Being

What we are dealing with
is a disconnect from reality.

Our problem is neither

political,

economic

nor religious;

rather, it is a disconnect.

We the People

 are disconnected,

not only from each other,
but each of us, 
from who and what 
we are.

It is because we have forgotten
what we need only remember,
the power and authority we are,
that we are the head,
and not the tail.

Watching the political arena of late

I notice initially, 
then primarily

Inauthenticity,

And disingenuousness.

I see persons being candidates,

talking at persons being constituents.

I see persons being constituents

listening at persons

speaking the words of candidates
pretending to be trustworthy of
 power and control.

There is no genuine communication between them.

One is being lifted up,
by sophistry;

the other brought low,
hypnotized,
mesmerized.

Fear is the motivation

behind the conduct,
and words,
and hearing. 

Both are so into  
the busyness of being 
the person they are projecting themself to be,
the person they believe themself to be,
that neither
can be who they are. 
Asleep in their respective realities,
They are without access to escape.
