It is written in the Book of Genesis
That in the beginning
God created,
among other things,
Man,
. . . and they in the image and likeness of God.
“So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God created he him;
male and female created he them.”
Genesis 1:27
“In the day that God created man,
in the likeness of God made he him;”
Genesis 5:1
Man, an image, is therefore a reflection of the Creator.
The image and likeness of the Creator
is reflected in Man??
What else could it mean to be “created”
in the Creator’s “own image”?
When I look at myself in a mirror,
Does it not reflect my image, my likeness?
I am solid, or so it appears to me,
and the image I see in the mirror is a reflection of me.
If I am an image, a likeness, a reflection,
the reality in me, through me, and all around me,
is therefore a mirror.
