Defense & Security

Given that Man is the image and likeness 
of the Creator,

And that the Creator is 
Love, Light Spirit & Truth,

If Man is not manifesting 
Love, Light, Spirit & Truth,

Man is not incarnating what he truly is.

Instead, Man is portraying Himself 
as something he is not,

by being something other than what he is.

He is misrepresenting Himself,

projecting an image of Himself

inconsistent with what he is,

thereby living life through 
a disingenuous, vain imagination.

If I am being a projection of me,

Rather than the incarnation I am,

I am expending significant energy

to be something I am not,

To avoid being me.

By being what I am not, 
am I not avoiding what I am?

Why would I avoid what I am?

Because I am afraid?

I fear

the agony of rejection:

You might not love me,

Or worse, you might hurt me.

Therefore, rather than risk the pain of your rejection of me

Of the Love, Light, Spirit and Truth that I am,

It is far safer to create and project to the world
a mere image of myself,

of something I am not.
Because,

Your rejection of my projection,

your damage to my image,

is safer to me, than your rejection of me.

It is, therefore, safer for me to project 
an image of me to you

Than it is for me 
to incarnate myself to you.
In that manner,
I remain secure 
within the comfort of my cocoon.

The image I create and project 
is my shield,

my first line of defense, 
my control line,

the line of demarcation 
between you and me.

I control my shield, my projection, my image--

At least I choose to believe that I do.

My image is the facade 
I create, project and represent myself to be.

It is the shell through which I live my life.

It is the person through which I exist.

I expend and invest significant energy 
into this delusion of mine,

in the upkeep and maintenance of my person.

I must at all cost maintain control 
over this creation of mine,

Lest it come under the control of another.

And through that control,

Control me.
